Midori Farm is situated in a small village Budeč in the heart of rural Czech Moravian Highland, 4 kilometres from the district town of Žďár nad Sázavou. Nestled in amongst the forests and ponds typical of the area, nearly half of the farm is permanent grassland that is home to an incredible array of plants, animals, bugs and fungi. Some 1,5 hectares of the farm’s 6 hectares are currently used for the production of vegetables and the brown soil seems to impart an exceptional flavour to whatever is grown in it. Farm buildings are part of former socialist agricultural cooperative which gives our living a bit “industrial” feeling.
We can accommodate you in mobile house (June-September) and you can help us on the field (vegetable cultivation and harvest) and on pastures (20 sheep). Our family (3 small children) can fascilitate you with sustainable diet (vegetarian if you wish). Location of farm provides good train connection to large cities (Brno - 1 hour, Prague – 2,5 hour).

We are an oasis of calm for experiential and relaxing courses and seminars to many themes during them meet here people from the whole Europe (social therapy, arthetherapy, history, handicraft, pedagogical courses, fairytales). We functionate as on anthroposofy-based Educational Centre since many years for people taking cafe for social-problem-people groups, so called handicapped and old people, youth with behavioral problems.

We are small family-owned biological-dynamic ecofarm specialized in viticulture, fruit-growing and goat breeding. Demand of our friends for our wines, fruits and goat´s milk (that we were preparing for our selves) expanded and that is why we decided to enlarge the area of our vineyards, orchards and of course, flocks of goats, little bit more to have something extra. We put focus in enviromentally friendly working with our plants and animals, according to nature and landscape. We are builders of ŠÍPEK, NNO, that is functioning regionally like nature-preserving and landscape-carring organisation. Our land is situated among others in locality NATURA 2000 and that is why we subordinate all working processes to needs of local ecosystem. We suppose that present agriculture needs principal regeneration from convention, that in terrible way devastate nature, to enviromentally friendly proccesses for whole biosphere, that is rounding us.

We have recently bought our farm (it may be 200 years old). So it‘s always something to do around our house. We have started to establish an ecological garden; we plant and harvest healthy herbs. Our Eco-center Skřítek is engaged in environmental education and you are welcome to help us with preparating and realizing our programmes. We engaged in alternative medicine, personality development, ethnic music and shamanism etc.
