Organic farm Ekostatek Vlkaneč is located at the border of the Central Bohemia near the town Čáslav, not far from the historic city of Kutná Hora.
The farm buildings are a family property for many generations and currently they are protected as a cultural monument, which makes the reconstruction more complicated. But they definitely have a genius loci!

This year it is the third year of our farming. We plant new extensive orchards that will allow us to grow vegetables in between the rows.

We are looking for volunteers, who are ready to stay for a while in very medieval conditions (caravan and tents, water from the well - but new electricity). And who are able to help us with field work, reconstruction (very alternative - clay fasade), planting trees, harvesting (apples especially) and many other things. Please no dogs, since we have our own. Children welcomed! We offer some lodgging, vegetarian food from fresh produce and very inspiring environment, working with the farmers and other volunteers from different places. We speak English, Russian and some German and basics of French.
We farm partially acording to the priciples of biodynamics, especially the planting and harvesting by lunar cycles. We also welcome fans of permaculture for inspiration. We especially focus on growing, seed producing and breeding of nonhybrid squash. (in general we use nonhybrid seeds if possible). If you are interested in some seeds, you can write to us - if we have some spare ones we will gladly share them or exchange them for other interesting plants.
We would also like to start baking bread in an owen over 200 years old and when we have enought of time we make homemade cheese from milk from the neighbours. And we plan on getting our own goats. So far we have only egglaying hens, ducks, dogs and cats

Ekokoza Goat Farm is a family farm with a focus on natural and just keeping the goats. Goat girls are kept herdsman way. Important is for us the relationship between animal and man and we make it, so we did not behave like the animals with machines to milk. The farm is dealing with the sale of milk and process dairy products. The sale is usually on the farm. We regularly organize events for the public or for goat breeders. WWOOFery welcome with open arms, because work is always enough. \"Most of the work around goats or around the processing and sale of products. Surely gather many experiences in the field of cheese production, sales of products from goat farming, but also baking bread in a bread oven. Small family organic farm located in the neighborhood of Jizera Mountains (Jizerské hory) Protected Landscape Area, in the city of Liberec just one hour from Prague. We focus on environment friendly farming, sustainable living. We aim for at least partial self-sufficiency. We are interested in traditional craftsmanship, cheese making, permaculture and green building. We grow vegetables, keep sheep, rabbits, chickens and bees, and take care of 2,5ha of land (pastures, orchard, garden, forest). WWOOFers could help with building fences, shelters, with animals, garden, little field, forest, housekeeping, household, cooking ... but we understand the WWOOF project as well as an opportunity to meet interesting people, have fun and exchange experiences.

Nemáme vlastní pozemky, na pronajatých nudličkách pěstuji brambory, velká zahrada pokrývá naši celoroční potřebu ovoce, zeleniny i bylinek a ještě zbývá na přilepšení zvířatům. Stálými zvířecími spolubydlícími jsou tři psí kříženci. Stáj obývají dvě jerzeyky a malé kozí stádečko. Pro potěchu oka se sadem potuluje pár českých hus. Mám čistokrevný chov vlašek koroptvích, dodávám vajíčka pro kontrolu užitkovosti do testovací stanice v Opavě. Přes sezonu vykrmuji kačeny, krůty, brojlery.
Práce je u nás dost celoročně. Na jaře a v létě bojuji s plevelem, v pozdním létě a na podzim při sklizni, uskladnění a zpracování úrody. Nepoužíváme postřiky, zeminu obohacujeme jen směsí kompostu a statkového hnojiva. Plevel odstaňujeme mechanicky.
Od ledna do května líhnu kuřata. Celoročně zpracovávám nadojené mléko na sýr. Pomocné ruce se uplatní i při rekonstrukci podkroví, stavbě minisýrárny.
A když už opravdu není co dělat venku, nebo počasí nedovoluje, tak nastává čas odpočinku u hadrárny - patchwork, paličky, vyšívací jehla.....
